A deck is a nice addition to your house.  It would be a nice place for your kids to play.  You can easily monitor what they are doing, make sure they are safe.  You can do some entertaining on it too. A few table and chairs and it should be superb for playing cards, or  dancing  or simply indulging in some stimulating conversations with  friends.  Many homeowners use it for other purposes such as an elevated garden, to enhance the landscaping, garden or carp pool.  There also a financial benefit to having a deck. It increases the value of your home. You really should build your deck as quickly as possible and start enjoying its benefits.  See more here!

There are, however, some important things you have to consider before the first post of deck is hammered into the ground. The first is the design of the deck.  It is not just some structure where you do things. It has to complement the house and the surroundings and even more important it must be comfortable to users.  Coming up with a deck design that has all these qualities should not be difficult.  There are numerous images of decks in the net.  You actually chose one that you think fully satisfy your requirements or do some tweaking here and there to come up with one completely your own.

The second is the materials for the deck. This could be a bit tricky.  Although there are materials can be used for decks, most homeowners prefer woods particularly hardwoods because they outperform softwoods in terms of longevity and weather-resistance.   Hardwood, though, is more expensive than softwoods. But homeowners are generally more than happy shelling out the money in exchange for a beautiful deck that could last more than a decade.

There are a variety of hardwood trees that make excellent decking materials. But the most in demand is Ipe,  Garapa, and  tiger wood, all  tropical  woods   found  in Brazil. They are valued for their longevity, resistance to the weather and lovely natural colors.

The cost of these materials should not be an issue if you want deck to be the best.  Besides, there is a way to reduce their cost. Some suppliers like Ipe Wood USA import ipe and other tropical hardwoods unprocessed which they are able to reduce the cost of their products. The cost of Ipe or Garapa decking should not be a heavy burden on your pocket.
